OUR HISTORY

Family owned and operated, Brador Sportswear Co. Ltd. is home to the Lupa Canada brand. Established in Montreal, Quebec in 1977, the company recognized the need for quality and locally produced durable outerwear jackets and accessories.

MANUFACTURING

Founded in a small factory in Montreal over 40 years ago, Lupa Canada produced anoraks, parkas, hats, accessories and jackets under the Brador and LUPA labels. Adapted specifically to the cold Quebec climate, the brand soon became a household name.

RETAIL EXPANSION

A growing business and an excellent brand reputation encouraged the company to venture into retail. Their landmark location ‘Brador Hiver’ opened in Montreal in the 1980s. The store has since grown into a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts young and old, offering affordable, quality winterwear for the entire family.
